At 1706 hrs, apparatus from all EFFD Companies, as well as the Village of Fishkill FAST, were dispatched to a reported deck fire. On arrival it was determined that there had been an active fire on the front porch of a private residence. The fire had been extinguished by the homeowner utilizing a garden hose (green line). EFFD personnel performed a quick search to assure there was not any further extension and began overhaul of the scene. The fire was investigated by the EFFD Fire Investigation Team.
