Fire District Hosts Jr. Firefighter Challenge at Gayhead Elementary

On Thursday 6/15/23 members from all four fire companies and the Rescue Squad of the East Fishkill Fire District helped coordinate and facilitate the annual Gayhead Elementary junior firefighters challenge in conjunction with their field day. Members facilitated basic firefighting evolutions with the student’s active participation. They had a great time and seemed to very much enjoy the experience. Maybe one day they will fill out an application!!! Recruitment never stops in the East Fishkill Fire District. Thank you to the school district administrators for allowing us to participate. Thank you to all of our fire and EMS members who attended. And most importantly congratulations to the Gayhead Elementary 6th graders on their moving up! It was a great day.
